Land into Beijing where our friendly team and comfortable transport will be waiting for your landing. Once aboard our private vehicles, we’ll take you straight to the hotel. Feel free to start asking questions about your adventure, meet other tour guests or take some rest in your luxury hotel suite.
After relaxing from your long journey, the following day we dive straight into the heart of Beijing’s most renowned locations, including the majestic Forbidden City, the iconic Tiananmen Square and a trip to the Temple of Heaven. Each visit comes with guided tours and insider local knowledge. You’ll get plenty of chances to capture the perfect photo too!
After a morning of exploring, we then head to Beihai Park. This 11th century park is also known as the Winter Palace, complete with characterful architecture and temples. A must-see on any Beijing visit!
Nobody should come to China without seeing the Great Wall, and you won’t miss it with us. We take you to the Simatai section of the wall where you will enjoy a night walk. Don’t worry, the walk is well-lit and completely safe with our guides.
Our final day in Beijing will cover the other must-see landmarks. We’ll provide a private and educational tour of Summer Place and the Bell and Drum Tower, which was once a musical venue now used to announce the time. Last but not least, we take Rickshaw tours of the older districts and marvel at the buildings, history and local culture.
Your flight to Xian departs later that evening with plenty of time to relax and pack beforehand.
Xian is most famous for the Terracotta Army, life-sized models of a Chinese army of the past. But these are not just any models, they were recently discovered in the tomb of the Qin Shi Huang Emperor. We’ll make sure you see them in style and get the facts that other tourists miss out on.
After a morning of admiring this world-famous UNESCO Heritage Site, we wind down with a tranquil bike ride to appreciate the Ming Dynasty city walls.
But Xian isn’t just about the Terracotta Army; it’s also about exploring the city and its other landmarks. Next on our local bucket list is to visit the Muslim Quarter and mosque of the city, not forgetting a stop-off at the Gian Wild Goose Pagoda along the way.
On the morning of the seventh day, we’ll all set off for the airport and fly to Shanghai. When at your new hotel, you can take some time to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch.
We then take an afternoon trip to the local Yu Garden. This classic and extensive Chinese garden is home to natural beauty, exquisite teahouses and the infamous Yu Garden Bazaar.
Modern Chinese art is something special and there is no better place to witness it than in one of the biggest museum galleries in the whole of Asia, The Chinese Art Museum. We take you there and provide personal guides to help you enjoy the art on display.
After a morning of culture, we then jump aboard the Huangpu River Cruise, the #1 way to admire the city’s architecture and glorious skyline.
After refuelling on a delicious breakfast, we set off to two ancient Chinese towns that many tourists don’t get to experience.
First, we head to Qibao Ancient Town, a water town with a 1000+ years history. After a short bus ride (approx. 30-40 minutes) we’ll then discover the Ancient Zhu-jia-jiao Town, another beautiful water town boasting over 35 ancient bridges, idyllic canals and oozing with Chinese classical architecture.
Your penultimate day is as exciting as the first with a trip to Suzhou, which some say is the Venice of Asia. After a comfortable and private bus ride (90 minutes) we take you to discover Suzhou’s hidden gems and resounding natural beauty. The town is full of zig-zag bridges, canals and the Humble Administrator’s Garden.
The latter is where you’ll be going to see what is classed as one of China’s stellar and most fascinating gardens!
But the adventure doesn’t end there, after marvelling at the beauty of the gardens, we will journey on to Tongli Town, a small Chinese town which has stood still in time to maintain a vision of a China of the past.
On the evening we return to Shanghai by private tour car.
Your last day in Shanghai is a chance to look back at your life-changing adventure of China’s best landmarks and spots of beauty. Say goodbye to new friends and get ready for your departure. We take you to the airport in private vehicles, just like when we picked you up.
Or, extend your tour to experience Chengdu, Hangzhou, Kunming and more etc.
